ANTENNA GROUP AND DAZN TO ENTER EXCLUSIVE NEWS PARTNERSHIP IN ITALY

Milan/Athens, 26 June 2026 – Antenna Group, a leading international media, content, news and entertainment organization, and DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, today announced an exclusive partnership to launch an original news service on DAZN Italia, expanding the offering on DAZN’s platform beyond live sport into a destination for real-time information and analysis.

The partnership with DAZN reflects Antenna Group’s long-term strategic vision for Italy: to build a scalable, innovative and trusted media platform. It is fully aligned with the recent acquisition of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale, one of Italy’s leading and most established media organizations, and forms part of a broader strategy to deepen Antenna’s commitment to the country through continued and disciplined investments in independent journalism, digital innovation and audience growth.

Launching on 28 June 2026, during the peak viewership of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ on DAZN, the service will deliver a daily news programme that complements the platform’s live sports broadcasts, keeping audiences engaged and informed between events. This is the first time a news show in Italy has been devised specifically for a streaming-first audience, using DAZN’s data and audience metrics to inform editorial decisions and cater to the unique needs and preferences of this audience. The daily news programme will take a broad view of Italian and international news, alongside the latest in sport, showbusiness, and technology, using explainer formats and longer-form segments tailored for digital and mobile consumption.

The partnership builds on the successful collaboration between the two companies during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, when Antenna and DAZN jointly broadcast all 63 matches of the tournament in Greece. It brings together Antenna’s four decades of expertise in news and media, a global footprint spanning 37 free-to-air and pay-tv and 2 streaming platforms across Europe, North America and Australia, and a global reach of more than 500 million people, with DAZN’s purpose-built sports technology platform, which streams more than 140,000 live sporting events annually and reaches audiences in over 200 markets worldwide. Together, the two companies will combine premium journalism, audience insight and innovative technology to create a new model for news and sports programming in Italy.

Antenna Group will establish and operate the news production unit for DAZN in Italy, overseen by senior editors at GEDI Digital, and will produce a distinctive news offering for DAZN tailored to digital-first audiences, complementing the platform’s live sports coverage and enhancing its broader content proposition.
